Poetry Book
We are pleased to announce that the highly anticipated National Poetry Competition Anthology is now available for purchase.
The anthology is called ‘The Green Book of Poetry’ and contains a selection of the winning poems and illustrations on the theme of The Environment.
‘The Green Book of Poetry’ is a testament to the talents of all the pupils who entered the competition and offers a refreshing an insightful view of the world we live in today. We would like to thank all the contributors for their excellent poetry and wonderful illustrations. Their sincere and often surprising response to the theme of The Environment helps us to look afresh at an issue that affects us all.

The SCEMES National Short Story Competition!
Following on from the incredible success of the Poetry Competition, SCEMES are preparing to launch a Short Story Competition for all KS2 pupils (aged 7-11) and we want you to get involved and have your say on the this years’ theme.
As with the Poetry Competition, the National Short Story Competition will encourage pupils to engage with issues of sustainable development whilst developing their creative and literary skills. It will also make a range of resources available for teaching staff and offer a top prize of £2,500 to the winning school.
